Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how planner atlas (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated at planneratlas.com, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you access or use our software as a service (the “Service”).
We collect only the data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service. By creating an account or using planner atlas, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
This Policy is designed to align with common international SaaS practices and to support compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), and similar privacy laws where they apply.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account data. Name, email address, account credentials or authentication identifiers, profile preferences, and related contact details you provide during registration or account management.
- Technical & device data. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, and similar telemetry needed for security, fraud prevention, and reliability.
- Usage data. How you interact with the Service (for example, feature usage, pages viewed, timestamps, and error events) so we can operate, debug, and improve planner atlas.
- Content you submit. Business plans, financial inputs, documents, and other materials you enter into the Service. We process this content to provide the features you request.
- Communications. Messages you send to support, and related metadata needed to respond.
Payment data disclaimer
Payment information (including credit or debit card numbers, billing addresses, and related payment credentials) is processed directly by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (or, where applicable, Paddle). We do not store, process, or have access to full payment card details on our servers. We may receive limited non-sensitive billing metadata (for example, subscription status, plan, invoices, and last-four digits or payment method type) solely to manage your access to paid features.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service (including authentication and account administration).
- Process subscriptions and entitlements in coordination with our Merchant of Record.
- Monitor infrastructure health, diagnose issues, and improve performance and product quality.
- Protect security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Respond to customer support requests and send service-related notices (for example, security alerts or material product changes).
- Comply with legal obligations and defend our legal rights where necessary.
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Service), consent where required, and legal obligation.
Third-Party Services & Sub-processors
We use trusted third-party providers to operate planner atlas. These providers process data only as needed to perform services on our behalf and under appropriate contractual safeguards:
- Hosting & infrastructure — cloud hosting, CDN, and related providers (for example, AWS and/or Cloudflare) to store and deliver the Service securely.
- Analytics & monitoring — tools that help us understand aggregate usage and detect errors or outages.
- Authentication — identity providers you choose to connect (for example, Google sign-in), subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
- Merchant of Record / payments — Lemon Squeezy (and, where configured, Paddle) processes purchases, billing, applicable taxes, and refunds as the seller of record.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (subject to appropriate confidentiality protections).
Data Retention & Security
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it in accordance with our deletion practices.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit via HTTPS / TLS, access controls, and secure development practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work continuously to reduce risk.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data as described under “User Rights.” Some residual records (for example, billing records held by the Merchant of Record, or data retained for legal compliance) may persist for a limited period as required by law.
User Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Export / portability of certain data in a commonly used format.
- Delete your personal data, subject to legal retention exceptions.
- Object or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA (we do not sell personal information as commonly understood).
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@planneratlas.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
International Transfers
planner atlas is offered internationally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting providers or Merchant of Record operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) for cross-border transfers.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes & Contact Us
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
